Piano Festival

The Stony Brook International Piano Festival: June 30 - July 13, 2013
The Stony Brook International Piano Festival is a two week immersion program for middle and high school students who are serious about piano study. Students receive two or three private lessons each week from faculty members, along with supervised daily practice, and master classes taught by guest artists. Performance opportunities include a recital at Carson Auditorium, an outreach concert, and a final concert at New York City’s Steinway Hall. Other enrichment opportunities include concerts and lectures by guest performers and mini-courses on related subjects such as music theory, piano literature, and practice methods. These exciting two weeks will also include cultural excursions to New York City, and outings to nearby Port Jefferson Harbor and historic Stony Brook Village. Tuition includes lodging, all meals, transportation to and from the airport, private lessons, concert admission fees, and two trips to New York City. $2,500
