Because of Donors Like You
Every dollar given to The Stony Brook School is carefully invested into the life of the School, ensuring that our students are equipped for lives of leadership and service.
Great things have happened at SBS because of the strong support of SBS alumni, parents, and friends since the School's earliest years. Gifts both large and small, from donors like you, are evidence of God's faithful provision and the ongoing relevance of the School's mission. In the past dozen years (and counting), we have undertaken major renovations to our physical plant, including significant upgrades to our student residence halls and our arts and athletics facilities. In addition, we have been able to award financial aid to many students whose parents could not otherwise afford an SBS education.
Right now is an especially exciting time in our School's history, as we celebrate both our 90th school year in 2011-2012 and as we seek to match a recent 4 million dollar gift from the Kanas family. This extraordinary gift is being used both as the lead gift to construct a new two-level dining room and student center and to enhance our student financial aid program.
We are pleased that you are considering giving to The Stony Brook School. Such gifts take many forms. Perhaps you would like to make a one-time or recurring gift to one of our four major funds:
- Annual Giving: Fund for Character Education
- Capital Campaign: Kanas Commons
- Curtis Circle Planned Giving Society
- Endowment
Perhaps you would like to volunteer your time in prayer or service to the School. We invite you to explore the pages in this section to learn more about how valuable your gifts of time and money are to SBS.
Thank you for your generosity. I encourage you to contact the Alumni and Development Office with any further questions.
