Visiting SBS

We invite you to come and experience The Stony Brook School firsthand. Prospective students and their families repeatedly share their appreciation for the opportunity to have visited our campus. “We felt so welcomed. Our visit was informative and answered all of our questions!” is a frequent response.

There are four ways to visit The Stony Brook School:

Class Visit Day

Our Class Visit Days offer one option for prospective students and their families to spend a day with us. Beginning at 9:30 a.m. in the Admissions Office with a campus tour for parents, visiting students attend classes, chapel, and lunch with an SBS student host. Parents are free to visit a selection of classes, experience our chapel service, and enjoy lunch with faculty and staff. There is also opportunity to ask questions during a panel discussion with our Headmaster, faculty and students. Class Visit Days conclude at 1:30 p.m.

Open House

Open Houses provide a comprehensive introduction to The Stony Brook School. We welcome students and parents who are interested in making informed decisions regarding their child’s education. Typically held on a Saturday morning and lasting about two hours, the Open House offers a campus tour and opportunity for conversation with our Headmaster and Director of Admissions.

"Look at The Brook" Tuesdays

"Look at The Brook" Tuesdays offer an opportunity to meet with current SBS parents and receive a guided campus tour.  Prospective parents are invited to meet in the Admissions Office and enjoy refreshments during this event.
